I'm planning my modules for the SGMA display at Trainfest and am thinking about a siding which of course require switches.  I think the spacing between tracks for the MTH Std 42 switch looks too big and I don't think I want to mess with their Std 72 switches, so was wondering if anybody knew when the Ross Standard gauge switches will be available.

Thanks,

John.

BTW John,  MTH "42" switches can be used only on the 42 track of your modules.  MTH and Ross "72" switches can be used on both the 42 and 72 tracks.  Our testing indicates  the Ross #4 will be acceptable on the "87" track, but that is not yet official, i.e. install at your own risk until a consensus has been reached.  I hope to have two pairs of the Ross #4 switches tested and installed as part of the staging yard when we go to Milwaukee in November.  I will have straight track ready to replace them if necessary.

What do the Ross switches look like? I haven't seen a picture. The best thing about the MTH switches is that they are beautiful. They look perfect in a tinplate environment. The Ross 0 gauge tinplate switches look like what they are - scale switches with tinplate rail. I'd love to see something that looks like an MTH switch but works - but I'll settle for something that works.
