It seems a couple may have but there have been no videos. It seems the excitement over these engines are very weak. Any idea why?

Wow, nobody bought one? Or should I say very few so far.
And so we continue to wait for a video! I stopped by Nicholas Smith Trains yesterday afternoon hoping to see the new goods and perhaps hear Lionel's latest efforts in action.
I did see the latest shipment of goodies on display; however, when I asked how the new whistle sounded on either the J or Daylight, nobody seemed to know -- sighting that they didn't receive too many of either, and those they did receive (supposedly a very low number) were selling well without the need to demo them.
So I left only purchasing a few extra accessories for a planned oil storage-tank farm expansion on the new layout. The new locomotives certainly "looked" nice. But having already owned earlier versions of both the J and Daylight, and with the introductory street price on these new units holding steady at $1170 or so, neither were calling my name. And it actually felt "good" to leave these new models on the shelf. No regrets at all.

My dealer called me two days ago and informed me that my Daylight is in. I'm dying to pick it up, but I'm short with the funds by 300.00. He's a good friend of mine so I'm going to ask him if I pay a partial payment will you send it to me first. I think he will do that. The minute I receive it, I will post a video

I'm awaiting video as well, maybe these locos are just that good everyones to busy playing with them.
I'd be in for a J if I had the funds, having said, that the GS is never a loco that held my interest until photos of it were posted on another thread, man that thing looks nice!
As far as the J's whistle goes, I'd guess its pretty close if not the same as to the "corrected" whistle on the blue comet. This whistle sounds like the whistle on theJ
I have a vid of mine if they would of sent mine. ...
