I tried twice today, no avail. Have left two messages in the past week. I'll keep my thoughts to myself on how I feel but it would be really nice to get my DOA legacy steamer fixed. I know this was a problem in the past but i thought they had gotten back on top of it. No service stations near me. Not paying to ship it to someone. They've always done right by me in the past. I hope this new direction isn't permanent.

If it's not under warranty, good luck. Was told by two Lionel Customer Service Reps, earlier this year, that Lionel only works on items that are within the warranty period - 1 year from date of purchase with receipt. I was directed to send an engine to a Service Station. As far as paying for shipping, you'll have to pay for shipping one way at least.

When I called I got a message to leave my phone number and a rep would return my call. Took about 15 minutes and sure enough got a phone call and an answer. Give it a try.

it’s under warranty. brand new out of the box and dead. A6 atlantic. thanks for the feedback. I’ve never had a trouble getting taken care of with what i consider good service when I actually get to talk to someone. We’ll see.

I have bought 150+ Lionel scale products in the last eight years. I’m as loyal as they come. But, they deserve the criticism for this and several other documented reasons.

I think this E Mail “Thing” isI a hit and miss proposition! They are answering some calls , but ignoring others! It’s happened to me several times!!
