I've acquired a Weaver C-1 steamer which appears to be TMCC equipped. It has the old two piece 6 pin connector between the loco and tender. The pins are bent and any attempt to straighten them breaks them.
I was planning on replacing the existing connectors with a Dupont type.
Has anyone done this conversion? If the wiring is broken as well, does anyone know which gauge wire is used in the harness itself?

You should be fine with #22 superflex wiring. Personally, I use MTH tethers for my upgrades.
