Looking to restore a 682 and need an e-unit, pellet smoke unit and motor. I have a man willing to sell me a 671. Will the parts mentioned all fit a 682 frame?

Marty:
There were several different versions of the 671 so it depends on which model 671 he has. Your 682 motor is part #681-100 and the only 671 which used that motor is the 1952 model (sometimes identified as 671RR). The e-unit (#100-25) and the smoke unit (#671-170) for that model are also the same as on the 682. Regarding the other models of the 671, obviously none of those parts you need will be on the 1946 model of the 671. But the e-unit and smoke units on the 1947-49 models are the same as on the 682.

Thank you Bill! I'm not sure which 671 it is as I don't have it, nor do I know if the current owner knows either. However, I don't run much post war so I suppose I could swap my motor from the NW J. That's the motor from my 682 now. I probably won't run both at the same time. If I buy it, that could be the only drawback, which really isn't a drawback. But if it is the correct unit, I'm good to go.
I compared the motor mounts of my 671 and a 681 and they both look the same.
Great George and thank you, you have mail!
