Are you referring to Atlas 2-Rail cars, with the Atlas 2-Rail "SCALE" coupler? On the other hand, Atlas 3-Rail cars do come with the large "claw coupler", which couples quite nicely with Lionel, MTH, Atlas, Weaver, Williams, and pretty much any other car normally equipped with the "claw coupler".
