The announced Master 2-rail C424 engines have DCS Proto 3. Do I have that right? It's official ... Atlas O will no longer use Loksound decoders?
I guess I can understand Atlas wanting to consolidate control systems with the Premier line. I was just hoping to see Loksound-equiped SW/MP15 endcab switchers in the future since I'm so invested in ESU products.
Life rolls on. That's what aftermarket decoders are for.
If true, I did notice on that release that Atlas will offer 2-Rail analog DC versions of the locomotives, which is ok by me as that will be a better starting base than ripping out the DCS to install Loksound. Not as easy at Loksound 5 equipped, but better than having to rip out all the DCS stuff. It would be nice if atlas has a motherboard in these locos that will accept the Loksound 5 L directly.
Hoping the 2-Rail Analog DC versions get enough orders to be released.
