Hi all. Does anybody know how to make a 2 rail rs1 ac run on DC? what do i have to do to make it run on straight DC

Carl, I believe you have to remove the TMCC board. I did this on an atlas SW1200RS, it's not difficult just takes time, you should then be able to sell the board, electro couplings, smoke unit and speaker. Once the board is removed what you do next depends on whether you want DCC or straight DC, either way it's straight forward if you don't mind a little electical work.

my RS-1 has a switch to go from TMCC to DC. It's under the fuel tank though.
Bought it used and previous owner did not know which position the switch was in.
So I had to remove the fuel tank. Very poor location.
Hi BigDBrass Thanks for your sugestion. i removed the fuel tank and found no switch. There was a slot for a switch but none to be found. I thank you for your input. In a few days i will remove all the stuff and wire it for straight dc.
