While inventorying my large collection, I cam across something I picked up years ago, called an "Audio Engineer"  I couldn't figure it out so I laid it aside and forgot about it? It was made by "Electro Nuclear Devices Inc."and was suposed to control your engine by voice command. It consist of a base, a mike, and a Circuit Breaker. The base has 3 terminals and the Circuit Breaker 2. The Mic is hard wired into the base. It apparently must have cycled the E unit since the top of the box shows a young boy calling out "Go-Stop, and back up!" The Technoloty looks like it's from the 40's. I have no instructions and cant guess how to hook it up to see if it works?? Any help would be appreciated? I do remember this unit from years ago. That's why I bought it!

Ever have on apart?

All that is in the "Microphone is a normally closed "sail switch" that opened when the operator spoke into the microphone. As I recall the instructions told the operator to "pop" their "P"s,  like stoPP, and accentuate the "G" in Go. It was the operators breath that worked it.

For those not familar with the term "sail switch", I picked up the term from reading service manuals on hot air furnaces. The sail switch detects air flow in the exhaust vent, turning off the furnance if the air isn't flowing.

I hope I used the term correctly.

I've had a few over the years. I still have an NOS one.
