The great gates of York!  Extravaganza -  All Are Welcome!

Had plans to hit a couple this morning, but skipped it and went to Strasburg instead where I found an AF prewar tank car on my list at the TCA museum deaccession sale.

I found a some good deals (both in price and ability to deal) in both the Purple Hall pre-show and the Wyndham....and, I saw Eddie in the parking lot in the Wyndham.....

Are there still tables at the Fire Hall and Four Points Sheraton or did that all get consolidated to the fairgrounds? My son and I loved the firehall last time we were there in 2022. Will be back in October!!

Fire hall (Flyer mostly) and Four Points are still there.  Vendors in the Wyndham parking lot and Purple hall were somewhat negotiable.

Had Great luck at the firehall.  Found a Transformer and aluminum GS shelving.   

Had good luck at the Wyndham and it was full with vendors. I think this will become my first choice for the bandit shows. The Four Points show seemed really light this season. Fewer vendors with sparsely populated tables. I’m not into Flyer, so I skip the fire hall.

Strangely enough, I couldn’t find any giraffe cars…….    

When you have escaped the bandits and get on the fairgrounds, let us know what wild and interesting new models of prototypes are being  offered by mfrs.  Especially western road names to reintroduced Weaver Baldwin Consolidation?

I actually saw one being purchased by someone who looked vaguely familiar.  Seriously - I can't make this up.  I was planning to ask about it, but it vanished right before my eyes - the prices for them seem to have gone up.

Sarcasm?  Manufacturers?  I'm guessing that you haven't been to York lately.
