I have my dcs hooked up.  I am powering it with a radio shack power supply to aux power.  I have my ZW-C hooked to both variable channels  since most of my stuff is conventional.  When I apply power to either track the bell starts ringing on the engine and I can shut it off if I press the bell button,  the whistle button on the other hand only speeds up engines and no whistle.  on track one is a ps1 fm trainmaster and on the inside is a Williams f3.  Any suggestions

thanks

You're feeding the variable channels with another sawtooth waveform, the resulting waveform must be pretty chopped up.  FWIW, I see this issue all the time on my bench with just a Z-1000 controller on the brick.  Any chopped waveform will have the possibility of triggering the conventional mode bell or whistle, some are worse than others.  Multiple daisy-chained chopped waveforms are a lot more likely to be troublesome.
