Bershire 2-8-4 #736 1950-51

Has any one came across a berk with blue a blue month on the bottom of the berk? Trying to figure out what it means.. Thanks Mark

Pretty sure it is not Lionel factory markings - wonder if a previous owner was in a club of sorts and marked their items with their initials as such for identification. Or a service man/station marked it during service...
