Thinking of pre-ordering this crossing gate, any idea if you will be able to turn the siren feature off or lower the volume. Reason I ask is a number of Lionels crossing with bells are extremely loud, and I find that turning of the bell is a great option.

They reviewed this on the Lionel catalog review and they said the siren can be turned off

Just saw a video of this signal on a layout and I will likely be buying it…..provided the siren has an on/off switch. As a matter of fact, I stumbled on this post because I was googling just that. 🤔

BTW... Since we're highlighting an old crossing device... Years ago a chap was displaying and 'taking orders' (measure of interest, I suppose) at some of the train shows, markets, etc. of a working model of this style of wig wag...
...or something similar...not of the tall, overhead version per Lionel, Z-Stuff, et al. Anyone know what happened to him and his project??
