This came into the shop along with some Marx & Lionel bridges. What goes in the holder in the center of the crossover?

that is nice. got any pics of the Marx stuff?
Dave
I did not take pictures of the Marx bridges. They are just run of the mill 1305 girder bridges. Two red Illinois Central, a blue PRR, a black PRR and a black NYC. The red & blue were really nice. Posted a photo below of one of mine.

hmmm...Pennsy......
Steve, you're being modest. I think I recall seeing photos of your rather extensive collection of Marx 1305's; pretty much every color and herald combination, and in very nice shape! Makes a very nice shelf display with the bridges filled with trains!
like to see that!
Dave
The 1305 bridges span a shelf of std gauge on my wall of Hafner. I have enough bridge variations for at least one more row but do not want to take down any Hafner. Too much Hafner not out as it is.
Steve
very nice Steve. I need to grab on or three PRR or NYC brides.
thank you Steve! I see your point: the standard gauge displays nicely, the bridge girders would conceal the O Gauge.
Lew, thanks for posting. mine has the single socket like Steve's, it's interesting to see the double version. Looks overall bigger, like it might accomodate Gauge 1?
The French catalogue with the dual semaphore shows a continental signal, whereas
mine contains signals for the British market.

For those wanting to know more about British signals, the blades with square ends are Home signals, and those with "fishtail" ends are Distant signals. Hornby used both on
its various signals. My photo shows the rear of a Hornby signal --Home blade on top
and Distant on the bottom. (Signal is to the right of the magnetic crane.)I'm also including a photo of the Hornby #1 signal gantry with both blades.

Thanks for all the input. Now to find a semaphore that will at least look correct on it.
