Lionel finally fixed my fan unit on my Milwaukee Road S3. This problem drove me crazy since it was irregular problem. The fan unit would quit after 20 min of run time and then the blinking cab light came on. THe next time I ran the engine the smoke unit would work fine and then after 20 min of run time the blinking cab syndrome happened all over again. I had to send it into Lionel 2 times in the past month. I am not sure why they did not get it fixed the 1st time when they told me they test ran it for 3 hours and there was nothing wrong with it. When I sent it in this last time, I posted a video on You-Tube so they could see the problem I was talking about. I am not sure if they viewed it or not. However, I appreciate that they got it back to me in a week and fixed it this time.
I just got new Legacy 4-6-2 Ps-4 engine this past week. The smoke fan unit hums very loudly. What can I do to fix this issue without sending it back to Lionel? I think I read somewhere on the forum that you can lightly oil the fan unit? However can I remove the cab without voiding Lionel's warranty?
