I'm using the Legacy Control System with the Cab2 remote. Most of my engines are older Lionel TMCC engines. One of my older Hudson's (6-28007) only operates properly in the "CAB1 Mode". If I change the setup of the engine to the "TMCC Mode", I have to use full throttle to get the engine moving. Does anyone know the difference between the "Cab1 Mode" and the "TMCC Mode" in the Legacy System? Is there a difference in operational features. I look forward to your responses. Thanks.

There is indeed a difference. CAB1 outputs relative speed commands, TMCC outputs absolute speed commands.
Could this locomotive have received an ERR Cruise Commander M upgrade? That's the symptom of running the ERR 100 step mode with TMCC.
You're talking about the semi-scale one from around 1999-2000, right?
Yes, this is a semi-scale Hudson built around 2000. It was sold to me "New" as a TMCC set which included a couple cars, Cab1 and Command base. I'm 99.9% sure that the set was new with no modifications.
Have you tried a reset?
I've attached a sheet with all the codes, here's the procedure for your locomotive.
STEP 1: Move switch on locomotive from run to program.
STEP 2: Turn on Command Base.
STEP 3: Place locomotive on track, then turn on power to track.
STEP 4: Press “ENG” then input locomotive ID#. Press “SET”.
STEP 5: Press ”ENG” then input locomotive ID# again.
STEP 6: Press “AUX 1”, then input the reprogramming code number that
corresponds to your locomotive. For your locomotive it's "8"
STEP 7: Turn off power to track, wait ten seconds.
STEP 8: Remove locomotive from track, move switch from program to run.
STEP 9: Place locomotive back on track. Turn power on to track.
STEP 10: Press “ENG” and ID#, then operate as normal.
