Good evening, everyone.

I have a dead track. Let me explain how it happened.

I was running two trains this weekend and during the session while attempting to change the speed on track 2, the handheld display changed. I believe the display was E256. At this point speed was normal(about 30 indicated), as I rolled back the thumb wheel, the handheld display counted down and when it reached 100, the unit sped up dramatically.

To stop the train, I hit the emergency stop. Both trains stopped as they should.

I reset the power and the handheld. I tried to restart and found that Track 2 was dead.

Power is a Lionel ZW, with fast acting fuses between the transformer and both tracks.

Track 2 fuse was blown, then replaced. Power was recycled but still no power to track 2.

Track 1 lights works, fixed voltage channels both work, but channel 2 controlling track 2 is dead, even checked with a volt meter.

Red Diode light on TIU is lit.

Handheld software is 4.1

My question is this.... can only 1 channel of the TIU fail or is there something else as a possibility?

Thanks for any insight you can provide.

Bill
