Not sure where to post this so it's here. I bought one of these at a show and the seller only had one. It works really well on resin. Unfortunately it slipped of the table and hit the concrete. Is anyone familiar with this and can tell me where to buy more. It came with the mandrel attached.

Thanks

Not sure it's the same, but here is one from McMaster-Carr that looks similar, but probably not exactly the same. I didn't see anything about the mandrel in their online catalog, but didn't look very closely?

That does look like a nice blade for cutting, I would be interested in trying one myself. About all they have around here is the standard Dremel blades and I don't recall seeing any quite like yours (Ace, Home Depot, Lowes).

Looks like the plastic cutting dremel blade is what I need.  Just went back again and looked at the price. Don't know if I'll buy from them at that price unless I can't find another source. Pretty sure I paid less than $10

I thought they were a tad on the pricey side too, but that is the closest I have seen to the one in your picture. I may do some more searching, this has sparked my interest and I kind of want to try one of these now. It would be great to find the source for the ones you got at the train show, sounds like a much better price.

Please be very careful when using any circulat saw blade in a hand held motor tool, they are treacherous because they tend to grab in the work, and yank the tool or the work from your grasp. I recommend staying away from such tools altogether, table saws and skill saws are dangerous enough, but pale by comparison. The last thing you ever want is a runaway motor tool with saw blade spinning, headed for your lap!

From Moonman's Amazon link I found this on ebay, but the sale ended in March and the seller seems to have vanished? I tried 'see sellers other listings' and no items came up for sale, nothing. I am not that familiar with ebay, but I think the seller had over 183,000 transactions and it seemed odd that nothing came up on the other listings list? So as Moonman said above, the mystery continues.

One other oddity is the item location was Chanhassen, MN, I believe where Prince lived, which I had never heard of until his death a few weeks ago? And the price was listed in I believe British pounds?

In case it helps the OP, the eBay seller of this item ("FixFind") still has its own website and the rotary saw blade is still listed on it (and at a reasonable price). Go here to see it: https://www.fixfind.com/Home/P...h&Keyword=rotary

P.S. In case the link doesn't go straight to the specific product page it's page 4 of the search results.

A little odd that "FixFind" is no longer on the auction site so in light of that and what is noted below it might be best to send an email to check availability before placing an online order. Their only contact detail is an email address.

Many online auction sellers list their products on more than one country's site if they offer international shipping so it's not surprising a search came up came up with this item on the UK site. It's worth noting that the supplier is listed as "Jeweller's Tools" as that's the same source of the out-of-stock Amazon listing.

My only other thought is that at York there was a fantastic tool vendor called something like "Need Tools!" but I can't recall exactly.

Dobermann,

I may try ordering one tomorrow? This has really got me wanting to try one of these bits. There was another website that I used to order LED replacement bulbs from that still has a website with everything listed, but they haven't been taking orders for sometime now. I even get emails saying it's been a while since I visited their site and placed an order, but you still can't order from them? There are some strange sites out there.

If it doesn't work, maybe I will break down and try the McMaster-Carr item I linked to earlier. That one certainly is pricey though.

Hancock52,

As I said, I am not all that familiar with ebay, don't use it much, except for the 'buy it now's' on the inexpensive electronic gadgets. Fixfind was still there as a seller, just had no listings that I could find and nothing in listed the 'more from seller' links. You may have explained the international thing, but I just thought it was strange for the item to be listed in British currency and shipped from Minnesota? I am guessing that's not uncommon either?

Good find that it was the same as the Amazon listing. The description was identical, but I didn't realize it was the same seller. Unfortunately, York is a bit far for me, the trip expenses would cut into the train budget a little too deeply for my tastes. Maybe I can work it in one of these times, I would like to see it once.

I was hoping that someone would come up with the name of the York vendor I mentioned, who were on the far left side of the Orange Hall. I think it was Bnb Hobby Supplies but they don't appear to have a website. Good hunting!
