I'd like to look at creating a lash up with my Missouri Pacific RS-11.  The lionel page is at 6-28522.  I'm focused now on Union Pacific (since they absorbed the Missouri Pacific - my dad spent his career with MoPac) along with Missouri Pacific.   I have a MoPac GP35 but it's TMCC/Pullmor and I don't think it will lash-up well with the can motor RS-11.  I'm also guessing I'd want to stay away from Legacy engines since they probably have more speed steps and again won't lash up well.  The Union Pacific TMCC H16-44 "baby TrainMaster" has caught my eye as an engine that might look good AND function well lashed up with the MoPac RS-11.  The lionel page is at 6-28838. I suppose by the time Missouri Pacific was "MOPed UP" neither of those engines would have been around to prototypically be run together.  But maybe it would be a "reasonable" marriage prototypically?  Would it be a good functional match TMCC-wise to lash up?

Well, it looks the the UP GP30 Road #844 is out as it has both Magnetraction and Odyssey.  I didn't notice but the Baby TrainMaster H16-44 is also Odyssey.   Maybe the SP RS-11 from the early 2000s time is the only viable option for a related road name that is reasonably prototype appropriate to run with an RS-11 and  is TMCC while not pull-mor and not Odyssey and not Legacy.

I'd "get" the can motor and pull-mor not being able to match speed steps well or a TMCC and a Legacy not being able to MU.  But you'd think TMCC would be smart enough to disable Odyssey if I lashed up Odyssey and non Odyssey engines when both were TMCC.

My first priority would be MU that would run well.  A distant second would be not putting 2 engines together that in real life would be ridiculous.  I wouldn't be terribly concerned about putting a MoPac and UP engine together that had gone out of service before the takeover.  That'd be getting a little too picky for my taste.
