I know that the e9 has more of the Lionel generic horn. Other than that what are the differences? Same crew talk? Same weight? And the e8s are newer

Ok so something is not right here... isn't the new Lionel release designated as an E-8/9?
Did Lionel really change the sand filler covers, brake vent diameters, or revise the headlights to reflect an E8 vs. the E9?
Personally I really like the DL&W E-8 807 & 808 units MTH made in Premier a few years back. Great models of the real thing my club owned.
