How are you going to install those traction tires on a 2-Rail model (notice there are no grooves in the wheel treads)?

What actually happened here involves a remote control locomotive.

The locomotive operator was out of sight of the unit when it started slipping. The wheelslip detection circuitry in the locomotive had failed, so the unit just sat there spinning three of the four the axles. I don't know why the fourth axle didn't slip. The wheels generated enough heat to melt the rail!

I have made thousands and thousands of solder joints with a barrel type soldering

iron. They are much better than guns because they stay hot until you turn them off. 

A gun is on off, on off. Takes time to reheat every time you want to use it.

But it depends on your application of course.
