When the BB gets to LA, Disney should let Donald Duck measure the locomotive. Of course, because it is the real thing, it would be, "Out of Scale."

One of my personal favorites. Really gives you an insight into how they make some of these!

Maybe he is modeling a dinner train??
The Tex-Mex Express which ran Corpus Christi to Laredo in the mid 1980's used a caboose for baggage and express.

I remember seeing this a while ago. I don't quite understand who its intended audience was, but quality programming nonetheless.
Hello PR&NJRR,
These were informational shorts that were shown to potential clients (engineers in the auto or rail business) to show them the advantage of using their latest products. In this case Timken was promoting the use of thrust roller bearings. This single innovation dramatically changed the world in improving the ability of getting all kinds of rotating equipment to run smoother, quieter and extended life while minimizing maintenance and down time.
Still love this one:

Starting in the pre-WWII period and extending into the mid 1950's MR ran a strip titled "The Silver Plate Road" which featured the trials and tribulations of millionaire VanderHat and the adventures associated with his model railroad hobby. Two of my favorites fall into the category of if-you-can't-beat-'em-join-'em.

The graphic novel, Murder on the Rockport Limited, made #4 on today's NYT Best Seller Fiction list. I find, that like the old Superman-era comics, graphic novels are a great cartoon source for trains and trolleys.
Most of the graphic novels I own have tight bindings, so no scans for you today. This'll have to do.

Sylvia Siamese and Norma Bates Kitteh's constant attempts to swipe real trains "for under the Christmas Tree" are a staple of my weekly comic strip, "The Couch Kitties"...
