1 Does Lionel proof read catalog? L1 is 21.75 length, Greenbrier 21.75 length, and 2-6-0 21.75 length. Maybe they all are the same length?
2. pg 58 removable coal load in features?
I just started looking at catalog and this is what I found. Sorry to nit pick.

In reality: Cut 'n Paste-itis. Not an unusual feature of Lionel catalogs.

Stuff happens. A number of years ago I worked for a company where no one noticed they had spelled the company name wrong. Very “colorful” when that was discovered.

Throughout the years I would guess NO they DON'T proofread. IF they don, definitely NOT detail oriented.
It is very annoying reading the catalog and having to figure out the mistakes. For reference, the L1 Mikado should be 21.75”, the Greenbrier is about 29” and the mogul is about 16”.

I just assumed there is a removable coal load in the cabin for the stove but I might also just be optimistic.
If Lionel is spelled correctly, then I think we should give them some slack on the rest of the catalog.
