I have years and years of Lionel and MTH catalogs...that I am now convinced are doing me no good...just taking up space.

Does anyone want them?  Do you guys just throw your catalogs away as new ones are released?

I know this is an "old subject" but, I promise it is the last time I'll post about catalogs.

Several times lately I have been scrambling through disorganized catalogue piles to look at something I heard of or to look for something I HOPE they made...and that includes most makers back to K-Line...for instance, there were comments on here about K-Line aluminum passenger cars, and I wondered where could I go to find out "What K-Line alum. car roadname series had RPO's, in the long version"?  or a subset of that, "What alum. car roadnames did K-Line make?"

If you sell at train shows, you can mark them as "free" and let people take whichever ones they want. I know what you mean about tossing them, but sometimes you have to do it anyway. Right now, I have a stack of catalogs dating back to 1980. I'm planning on putting them out for recycling next week.

You would be surprised at how much it would cost just to mail one of those catalogs. Recycling them is the only answer if you can't give them away locally.
