I have an Atlas O GP15 Chessie Unit #1508 (released 2006) that runs fantastic in TMCC mode under DCS. I also have a Lionel Gp30 Legacy where I was able to add the engine and then edit the TMCC address without issue. In the case of the GP15, however, it is set to the default addy 1. When I set the engine to Program and then edit the address to 8, place the switch back to run it will not start up. I press start up and nothing happens. Only until I set the engine back to address 1 will it then start and run without issue. I only have two TMCC engines with a third on the way when Atlas releases the U23B so this right now the GP 30 is on addy 44 while the GP15 is addy 1. I posted this in the DCS forum, but it was suggested that the TMCC/Legacy experts might have some insights. Any ideas? Thanks.

Address change requires the movement of the Run/Pgm switch on the engine.
(1.) Move the switch to Pgm.
(2.) Engine on track, Turn on the command base and track power. Cab1 control and command base.
(3.) Cab 1 commands: Eng ## Set. A horn should sound. ## is a new engine number.
(4.) Wait 10 seconds and Turn track power off.
(5.) Remove engine from track.
(6.) Change Run/Pgm switch back to Run.
(7.) Engine should remember the new number.
I don't have Legacy.

Do you have a cab-1 or another R2LC receiver board you could swap?
If you have a cab-1, take your time programming, hold the buttons down a little longer than usual... good luck.

Unfortunately I don't have a cab 1 or another board. I use the MTH DCS remote with the TMCC functionality built into the DCS system. Again no issue redressing the GP30, but his guy is giving me fits. I looked on the auction site for a reasonably priced cab 1 remote without luck. These guys want $150, just for the remote, a little bit too rich for my blood. Heck I'd rather throw that toward the purchase of a legacy system. Thanks for the advice.
you should be able to get the cab1 for around$100 or a little less. Don
