While putting together a very loose replica of the Willimantic CT. Frog Bridge for my ceiling layout, I was looking for a cheap railing material. At work I came across some old suspended ceiling light grids that were being thrown out. They cut easily to size on my bandsaw,  and with spray paint looked quite believable. Gave me lots of leftover material for future projects.

I think this forum is great! A few weeks ago I saw an idea here about using squeeze juice tops for roof fans! They look great, and with 9 grandchildren under 9 yrs old ,I have roof vents forever! Now this idea for railings from light grids! Fantastic looking, imo! If these ideas keep coming I'll be afraid to throw out the garbage!! Lol
