Walking around the halls at York last month, I started seeing these little Chein lithographed stations at different tables.  Grove, Oakland, and Glenwood stations.  I hear there is a fourth, Parkland Station, that I'd like to find to complete the set.  They are 4-1/2" x 5-1/2" x 5" high.  Something a little unusual.

Nice brick lithography, otherwise pretty simple.  Funny that the "door" is just a lower window!

Chein was an American company, based in NY, made lithographed toys 1930's through 1950's. The company continued as Cheinco into the 1990's, making tin cans for food companies.

Anybody know what other train-related things they made?

I think I may have found something.

So I recently picked up this book to learn more about Hafner trains (thanks James and Gary for steering me in this direction):

And on page 217, which is in the Dorfan Accessory section, I find this:

The caption in Greenberg says they do not know who made the station for Dorfan.

So I look at my Chein stations again:

Different lithography, and the end windows are not cut out in the Dorfan version, but otherwise...

What do you think?
