K.C. - that's a pretty common position for me, unfortunately no nap.  Just a pair of replacement knees, one replacement hip, one bad hip, a sore back and poor eyesight, and I just try to get as close to my work as possible.  

Bob, that's a great looking tree and Super Chief set-up.

Hey Bob your really a brave guy getting down on the floor.  I know if I'am getting on the floor I have to make sure that at least one of my son's will be around to get me up.

Thats funny! I could just imagine the look on your face was even funnier. Like the tree.

Yeah Steve, gettin' down is the easy part.  It's the gettin' up that always finds me is a precarious situation.  Always stuck, in some contorted way, with no handle to grab on to to help me up.  Too much weight to lift without some type of assistance.  Wish I hadn't eaten that last doughnut.

That's great Bob. Glad you're getting Your Christmas Season started for you and Vija and the two you have a very happy Christmas together.

Chip:  I love the RTR set.  It was a real good buy.  I got this one for about $260 from Nassau Hobby during their Black-Friday sale, with free shipping.  The train has good sound and the cars are nice quality, with good lighting.  It responds well to the CW80.  I can run it pretty slow without any stalling.  This is the first time I've used Fastrack under the tree, and I plan to use it all the time for my floor layout at Christmas.

 

Even Vija commented on how good it looked compared to the old tube track.  A couple of years ago, I bought my youngest grandson, Silas, the same set, even before he was born.  I added two extra coach cars for his set, and a figure eight track.  He's just a little over a year old now, but smiles from ear to ear when his Dad set it up under their tree.  

 

I have never posted a video, but I'll make an attempt.  Heck, I'm not even sure how to do it.  Maybe the SMART phone knows how on it's own.    Anyway, I love the set.  I used to have an El Capitan, with a whole bunch of extra cars, and even had a dummy AA loco.  That was an impressive train.  But, I sold it off, piece by piece, and regretted it ever since.  This one will sort of replace the old El.

Bob, Love the story.

Also can sympathize on the joints. I'm trying to determine how I can arrange to get the Brick out front on my Christmas layout, resetting the breaker gives actual pain.

I put the entire layout on a remote control power strip so that part is good.

My grand daughter has decided she likes the caboose on my Freight train.

This ends in a derailment periodically when she grabs it going by.

Both those RTR sets intrigue me, as there are tons of them for sale, and everyone says they look good and run good, whereas my Lionel PWC's with the combo of TMC and Pullmor motors only have 2 speeds...stopped and fast.

I probably would have been better with either of those RTR sets you mentioned and saved a ton of money and gotten better performance.
