I'm assembling a circus train to run at a museum and would like to have the "little engine that could" look. Using a 4-4-0 or 4-6-0 pull a string of boxcars, flatcars and passenger cars. I have a number of K-line Ringling Bros 18" passenger cars and some flatcars with circus wagons and several boxcars . I'm now looking for a strong engine to pull the load. I have a MTH 30-1160-1 DRG 'beehive' that sort of matches the yellow on the circus cars but am unsure it can pull the number I have in mind. I would test it on my home track but it is under construction.
My questions are
== Will my engine work or just sit and spin?
== What small engine could pull a long circus train?
== Can a motorized boxcar or passenger car be used for a helper?
== Does anybody build one?
Thanks
