I kind of figured John would like that!
Gotta admit I'm kind of a "closet Conrail fan" myself, but my new layout (in the planning stages now, and awaiting finishing of the train room) will likely feature U.S. Army Transportation Corps...something a bit out of the ordinary in more ways than one.
Beautiful work!
I miss Big Blue .... I used to see them working every day.
Sirt I love that third rail.
Looking good Anthony! Keep conrail conrail !'
I sure do miss Conrail!

Anthony, Excellent collection of Big Blue!!! I haven't quite gotten to your level yet but I'm slowly working on it. On another note, your display cases are beautiful! May I ask, handmade, came with the house, or readymade and installed? I'd love to do something just like that in my office/trainroom. Thanks
Steve sorry for your loss. Long live the central!
Frequently saw B & O power on the CNJ. Run through and leased equipment towards the end when it all went south.

ConrailFan- Thanks. The built-in cabinets are custom-made by a friend of mine who is a contractor. They were part of the project of finishing the basement before layout construction. If you live anywhere near Pittsburgh, he does really nice work. We designed them so each shelf has a strip of LEDs mounted underneath for illumination, rather than outside track lights. I have most of that wiring complete, and hope to have the lights functional soon.
Conrail of mine as well as a very clean BIG BLUE it was 70 so i washed it
Dominick:
Even after 4-1-76/Conrail there still was at least 1 run through freight from Philly to Eport and used B&O power/caboose mostly. So B&O power could be mixed in with ex-CNJ, ex-NYC, ex-RDG, ex-PC at Eport enginehouse.
