That makes no sense, the CCM is exactly the same width as the DCDR, both measure 1.288 in width at the widest part.  I have one of each sitting here in front of me.  The CCM is about 1/8" longer than the DCDR, which is where I had to make adjustments in some small steamers.

Are you saying the polarity inversion will affect you?  Aren't they incandescent lights?  If they're LED, you'd have to do some surgery.
