Oh , 1st visit to the NJ web site , very informative !!!
Now I am in stitches, but I am glad you are visiting
Ace, you showed a person, some compound 90 degree curves,
using O54 and O72
Is that the way to go to run 2 tracks around the ceiling,
Believe the topic was something " Tinplate and hellgate bridge
thanks
Depending on what type of track you are using and how much clearance your equipment needs, you'll need to do some homework on your track layout. I would recommend that you get track planning software (AnyRail and SCARM have free versions) and do some trial setups with your actual track and trains to see what you can fit together in your space.
I had a need for an 0-54 curved bridge a few years back and could not find what I needed. My bridge not only had to be curved but it also had to have catenary on it. One more thing, it had to lift. It was time to get creative and had to build my own.
A few more.
Nice bridge Marty!
Very Nice Marty The Silk City Bridge Works products should translate into something like this. This was a Bridge Solutions, Brian Cooper, creation from several years back.
That is one very nice bridge, Mike CT. I particularly like the griders and pier details, etc. Also a very well worked-out twist to it - looks natural - very prototypical.
I serached through older postings and found one of this bridge (and others) from 2011. It seems that Brian Cooper is no longer in business, is that right?
Bridge Boss, has been contracted to do both the O54 and O72 curves, in my
90 degree corner,
these pics do make for a nice beginning of the day
thanks

Thank you,

He usually could be contacted at the Eastern TCA meet at York, PA. He had a booth next to Ross Custom Switches. As I said it has been several years. He had done a lot of work for the NJ Hi-Railers at one time. I haven't seen anything current.

thanks You're welcome Mike
Mike CT. Very sharp looking.
Poor photo of my "Bent Poplar" 072 plate girder on my previous layout[1997] down the hall that was in process of being dismantled in favor of an Exercise and TV Room for the Domestic CEO. Soaked the rails in hot water and placed it in an 072 jig for a week. It maintained its curve nicely.
Excellent work. Whenever see this type of talent I wonder what back ground the builder has because you don't learn this overnight. A quick look at your profile shows why - millwright supervisor. Thanks for posting the pics.
drodder; beautiful craftsmanship on the curved bridge.
