O scale model of a heavy duty 8-axle gondola with standard underframe.

This is a scratchbuilt O scale 8-axle heavy duty general purpose gondola typically used for MOW operations. The car is 18 inches (72 scale feet) in length over coupler faces. The model has "articulated" truck bolsters which allow operation on smaller radius curves and turnouts. This model has a high side 52 foot gondola body. It also could be used as a crane tender.

Note: The model as shown as a "standard" underframe. Another version of this same car has a "fishbelly" style underframe.
