DCS Consumer Loader Program can't find TIU

Greetings All,

The DCS Loader cant find my TIU therefore I am unable to load the latest upgrade.

Now some facts:

My TIU is version 13A

I am powering the TIU through Aux Power

It is currently loaded with DCS version 4.1 (At least that is what I believe since that is what my remotes version is)

I have downloaded and installed DCS Loader version 5.0.0 (the latest)

I am using a RS232 Serial to USB cable and have downloaded the driver software for the cable

My computer is finding the Cable on a COM port (initially it was on COM3 but then I switched to a different USB port while trouble shooting and now on COM4)

I am running Windows 10 Home.

When attempting to find the TIU through the options menu it cycles through COM1 and COM4 (com4 is the current address for the cable) and then times out and recommends cycling the Power on the TIU which I do and the same thing happens after about 45 seconds of searching.

I am at wits end and am trying to figure out if it is a computer or TIU problem.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Have you followed the setup instructions for upgrading the TIU in the exact sequential order? Are you connecting the RS232 cable adapter to the high speed usb portion on your computer?

it could be just as simple as you don't have the driver for usb port which is on the mth web sight, I have the driver if you need it
