DCS legacy mode? | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

Can anyone tell me what this option is for? It shows up in the engine screen as #30.

When a select it the engine volume goes up and will not respond to the roller. The whistle does blow but only one blast. When I select conventual mode everything works fine.

From The DCS O Gauge Companion 2nd Edition, page 171:

Soft key FLM-Legacy Mode should be set to OFF. Legacy Mode turns off speed control in a PS2 engine and places the engine into conventional mode until the engine is powered off and then back on again. Ensure that Legacy Mode is off so that speed control is active.
