Hi, I have a layout that runs around the periphery of my downstairs finished basement. I run five 14 ga. stranded speaker wire feeders around the layout and also run the Lionel Legacy system. I more often than not get a check track signal on my remote when running PS2 engines. The signal chk is all over the map and never the same twice so it is hard to troubleshoot. I finally isolated half the layout and use two seperate supplies and tiu channels but still have the check track issue on one side of the layout. I had MTH repair one tiu that had a bad channel but I still have a weak sgnal issue on half the layout with my spare new TIU. I am using two channels off the tiu each powered by a seerate LIonel 180W brick. I also have and tried the MTH 4000 but same problem. The lionel products and legacy system run flawlessly so I cant figure out why the problem on half the layout. Any help and suggestions will be appreciated and tried out if possible. Thanks!

DCS is unhappy with multiple power drops as the signal gets degraded with that type of wiring.

the legacy is a different breed in itself and a little more forgiving.
