OK, some of you will remember helping me diagnose the ailments of my Frisco 2-8-2 #6-18030. Further investigation has revealed that the smoke unit is part--not all--of the problem (the rest of the problem is being dealt with right now).
With everything else but the smoke unit disconnected, setting the engine on the track and applying power ellicits a billow of smoke from the unit for a split second; then the breaker trips.
Is this likely a unit that can be fixed, or does it need to be replaced? In either case, can a new unit or parts be had somewhere. I get the impression from Lionel that they don't have parts.
