I purchased a Rail King GG-1 locomotive, and one of the pantographs is defective. It goes down appropriately when in the anterior position, but when the engine changes direction, it does not come up. When it goes down, it goes down too low so that the angle of the pantograph is below the horizontal (with the apex pointing down) (as opposed to the correctly functioning pantograph which still has the apex pointing up, even in the down position)
When I prop up the defective pantograph with a piece of cardboard, so that the apex is pointing up, then it functions well.
I was wondering if there was a better fix for this, or I should send it back to MTH for a new pantograph
I would appreciate any input from people that have experienced this problem
