Nothing less than perfection!! Norm's work is so cool to see with the trains running. Thanks for making that great video!!
That was a real treat to see. Thank you for posting that. The whole layout is a unified work of art, isn't it. For some reason, I have concluded that the person whose head we can see at approx. 10:33 - 40 is Norm himself? It's so delightful to experience that every square inch has the same tone and feel to it, every train, building, landscape, and neighborhood. He is an inspiration to many of us.

A true work of art. Thanks for sharing.

Listen closely Laz, you can hear him.
Yes CHARLIE, I did hear him along with the giggle. LOL.

It was a pleasure to be there. Thanks Norm. I'm sure there are others but Norm is the only guy I know that will take a shiny new from the box engine and weather it. I offered to spray a little weathering on club member engines so they would blend in but all declined. I hope the guys in the scenery forum notice this video and get to have a look as well.
Laz I be there. Forgot to slip the cameraman his fiver.

All I can say is WOW!
And what an opportunity to see a famous model railroad and its maker. Norm has talent that is so remarkable that is really makes stop and appreciate such great skills. What a real treat.
I went though an emotional rollercoaster on Saturday that was tough to describe... Such great artistry on a layout, exciting to see in all it completeness... then to go home that night and see mine... with just a travesty of errors, unfinished and incomplete... was hard not to contemplate ripping it out and starting over... but on the lighter side, it made me focus on what I needed to do, and to stick to the details, its just progressing at a slower rate.
What is nice about Norm's layout is there is NOT a bad picture that can be taken on the layout. The only limit was my crappy phone camera (which I apologize):

I have a short bucket list. Visiting this layout someday is near the top.
A dream layout to be sure!

Awe inspiring! It would be wonderful if there was a new DVD video of Norm's updated layout and some of his weathering and scratch-building tips. I greatly enjoyed his old layout that was on TM's Lionel Nation 2.

Watch World Class Hi-Rail Layouts Part 4 TM did a couple years ago. A lot of what they got then in 2012 Norm retained for this layout, minus the old roundhouse location.
Norm's layout and weathering is really second to none, and it was nice to see such a variety of Lionel locomotives in the superb scenery.
This layout is in a different house with a bigger basement. Of course he kept the buildings but the layout is new.
