Unfortunately, the Rail Kink version of the engine was a little Hudson.  The real Rexall train was a Mohawk (a Mountain type to you non NYC guys)  I've seen some movies of the train in my old hometown of Fond du Lac, WI, taken many years before I would have even known what a train was.  Like the engine that it was styled to look like, the original Commodore Vanderbilt, it was an older engine that was sheathed up to be streamlined.  I agree with Don in that a scale, Premier locomotive would really have been a nice presentation.  Hmmm!  I wonder if a guy could take one of Lionel's Commodore's and put it on a 4-8-2 chassis?
