I have a set of 3 K-Line yellow with blue lettering coal hoppers and I was wondering did this paint scheme really exist and for how long into the N&W merger?  I can't find one picture of that paint scheme of a real hopper and I am guessing that K-Line may have made these to match the Trainmasters that were made in O scale.

BTW I am thinking of selling or trading them to acquire other rolling stock that interchanged into the mid 70s for Erie Lackawanna.

Good guess.

If the yellow w/blue stripe Trainmasters were that popular and inspiring to the hobby industry, can a bright yellow w/blue stripe painted Vision Line Allegheny be very far behind?  I mean, after the Daylight ptd cab-forwards and the more recent Valley Flyer ptd 2-10-10-2's artistic mayhem license apparently knows no bounds.

And, Scott!...Thank you for sparing that paint scheme from the EL-2B's, and perish any thoughts thereof for the upcoming limited run of Alleghenys!!

Often have wondered about all the VGN Blue 'booses, too.

(And I thought Williams' Pink GG1 was the penultimate of preposterous paint for a Pennsylvania paradigm!!)

I know...it's part of the...fun.
