I want to replace the rectifier discs in my old TW's and my 1033. Any ideas how to do this? Thanks in advance.

It is not too difficult, but you need a wiring diagram for your transformer. Olsens has them or you can buy the Greenburgs 7th edition repair manual. You need to see which direction the diode should be placed in the wiring. Some of the transformers can be tricky to get back together. It pays to take pics as you take it apart.

Fumbus,
I tried it on my TW and it did not work. Reading a wiring diagram is not the easiest thing for me so I just use my TW on stuff that does not need whistle control.
The guy I bought the diode from sent directions and I think I did a good job following the instructions ....... The ZW article on the internet is worthless for TW conversation - they are not the same internally.
Sorry about the ZW instructions, I read the TW as ZW and thought I was actually helping. Could this be as simple as having the diode the wrong polarity?
Not to worry, I need to remember to read a bit more carefully. I had a couple of TW's here at one time, they were a bit harder to work on than the ZW or KW.
I haven't had good luck with diodes. I use the replacement discs they sell on ebay.

Thanks, guys. Appreciate the help.
