Don, That truly is a beautiful picture. Did you take it? I would love a copy for my layout room.... If you have it available, in digital format with large megapixels, and don't mind sharing it, send me an email. Thank you for posting.
I love it too, if for no other reason than that it looks nothing like snow.
Beautiful greens. I feel sorry for the track, it has been lonely for a looong time....
Looks like California, but it reminds me of someplace I used to live in Central America.
I remember seeing it posted a week or so ago. I agree with you Don, amazing picture
I didn't take it and it's not in this country. Wish I did take it. It was an old logging railroad and could be anywhere in the world. Don
Don, I think somewhere there is a link to where it actually is, I just can't remember the thread where it was located

That is stunning! Just disappearing off into the mist.....makes you want to follow it.

Oh yeah! You'd have to . . . It is a truly spectacular picture.
Love it. (gonna borrow it if you don't mind)
great pic of abandoned tracks
Nice picture. But I think I see Bigfoot peeking around the corner
Don,
Your photo. reminds me of an opening dream scene of a long forgotten railroad.

They better get the ballast crew in there.
Great picture that lets the imagination wander.
Bigfoot in Taiwan? Not even Yeti, I don't think....IS Taiwan the location? One
could hope it was a forgotten logging road in CONUS.
Kinda reminds me of a place far away where it's NOT COOL with 95% humidity. A little too old to enlist again......Thank Goodness!
The photo sort of reminds me of an abandonded logging track in Northern Pennsylvania. We had a hunting cabin in the area for many, many years. That photo sure does look like it came from the mountainside not far from camp. Aah,memories!

Perhaps what a train lover sees upon his passing to heaven ....

I searched the image using TinEye and that's the largest copy of it found.
This could be where it's from.
Nice find John! There are some really neat pictures on there

When I first saw the picture I thought they were the railroad tracks to Hana. Beautiful picture regardless of where it is. Thanks for posting it Don.
I,too, enjoy and appreciate good PhotoShop work.
Of the heavily worked photos, (1,4,8,9,10 as well the original posted) I like the rail tones that were laid in on 4 and 9 best. No 1 has too much of the Thomas Kinkade influence in my opinion.
It is certainly one of those photos that you would see in a gallery.
That pic may be from a Hollywood studio. Looks like it's from the mid-80's Romancing the Stone or mid-90's The Phantom movies.
What, me worry?
Jdaddy, thanks, those are just wonderful. Love to have those printed and framed. Don
