I applaud the Lionel Collectors Club of America (LCCA) http://www.lionelcollectors.org/ for their innovation in coming up with the idea of cooperating with Lionel in developing specs, and offering plans as well as kits (www.lionel.com) for these wonderful O-gauge modules designed especially around Lionel’s FasTrack system. Once again LCCA can be credited with the introduction of something totally new. This club continually reaches out to membership with new and exciting programs.
These modules will make it easy for O-gauge hobbyists, both old and new, to be involved in the exciting aspects of participation in modular railroading both here and abroad. Finally, a truly standardized module that will fit in the back seat of a midsize automobile making it simple to transport and assemble at any train show! It allows one the ability to join in with other module owners anywhere: not limiting the participant to a specific modular clubs in any given area.
Those who participate in this concept can automatically be included in local, regional, and national train shows. Some of you no doubt saw an example of a FasTrack module At the TCA Eastern Division’s York, PA event this month, or saw the videos I posted yesterday h on the TCA_MG forum. If so, I invite you to comment on this cutting edge enhancement to what has been around for years – modular layout railroading.
Thanks,
Bruce E. Vincelette
