My 100 DZ1000 motors work fine without any DCS issues at all, although I am using a separate power supply for a variety of reasons.
Also how is dcs with gargraves track?

Great, I have a very sharp friend that told me this and am sure he has seen this, but I was hoping that it was not a common problem. I will be using a separate power supply and circuit for my switches. By the way I do have you book, very helpful.

There is no need to power any switch motors from the track, and operationally (even conventional) it's a bad idea, because you can't throw switches with track power off or low. Simply feed the controller with a wire from the transformer ground (usually "U") and connect the center switch motor terminal to an accessory circuit. The advantage is that, with a DZ motor (but not with a stock NJI motor) you can easily add a non-derailing feature.
