I have a semi scale K Line Hudson that refuses to go into reverse recently. Forward worked fine. I had a Lionel e unit from the modern 4-4-0 coca cola engine on hand, so I installed it because I read the older K Line engines had issues with the e units failing. Now I have forward and reverse, the engine runs great until I attach cars to it. The amps go quite high as well with a load. Is this board too "small" for the K Line Hudson? Maybe the can motor is failing? I am confident I installed the e unit correctly as the smoke and all the lights work on the loco and tender.
