I will soon be attempting an upgrade of a MTH 20-2100-1 PS1 with Cruise Commander 4, but don't understand where the front and rear motors attach.   I see the brush-1 and brush- 2 connections on the Cruise Commander board.    Are the two motors connected in parallel?

Each MTH motor has one tan and one blue wire, both blues to brush-1 and both browns to brush-2 for example?  (I understand there's a polarity issue, and the wires may have to be reversed.)  Or are they connected in series?

Thanks much,

Dennis

They are connected in Parallel and as you have noted they may need to be reversed.  I use a 9V battery to verify motor direction and ensure the wires are correct.  For instance try the blue on positive and the brown on negative.  If the motor runs forward hook the blue wires to brush one, if not reverse the connection.  Good luck!

Thanks. The response from EER was "you do not attach four motor wires to the board.  You attach two wires from one motor to the board. Then with two more wires you jumper from the first motor to the second" which sounds like a series connection.  The instructions are not clear on how to wire dual motors. But if I understand you correctly, all four wire (two from each motor) are wired to the Cruise Commander board.

Thanks,

Dennis
