This coming Saturday will be two weeks since the announcement that ERR was shutting down. Has anyone gotten there orders yet? I know they are doing the best that they can to get the orders out. My question is when did you place the order and did you get everything that you wanted?

My order placed Sunday after York and nothing to date.
I got a couple of Cruise Commander M packages yesterday.
I got a refund even though I ordered pretty soon. I then ordered from Western Depot in California and got a couple Cruise M, and Mini Cruise options. Kind of odd since it was mentioned several times on the forum that they still had some ERR.
Not had a refund yet. Ordered a Cruise Commander and 4 Switch Commanders.
Fingers crossed it turns up. Need a spare CC as backup in case I have one fail.

PayPal threw a wrench in the works. When the huge slew of orders came in, PayPal shut down the account thinking something was amiss. Lionel is trying to sort it out now.
Actually, I believe Jon mentioned in one of the other ERR posts, that they had shut down PayPal on their end because of the influx of orders since the announcement. He mentioned they have almost 6 months of work now, so it will take a while to sort everything out.
I just talked to Ken at Electric RR today. He said he still has 100 orders yet to fill and mail out. PayPal shutting down caused him shipping issues as he uses PayPal to pay for postage. I'd say we just need some patience and allow Ken to get caught up.
I called to find out about getting a cruise m board upgraded. Ken has been kind enough to upgrade boards with the latest code. He so backed up that I'm holding off sending him any boards right now.
I tried to order one on line as I want one as a back up to my CCII engine Alex M just upgraded.
Alex, any luck?
I ordered seven DC commanders, a week ago Saturday. Paypal went through, but no communication.
I ordered several Cruise M and RailSounds commanders on April 24th. No refund on my credit card...yet, fingers crossed.
Ordered a couple of pieces a week and a half ago. Today I received an email from PayPal telling me that I have been given a credit. Nothing from ERR but my order has been cancelled. Don’t know if it is a lack of inventory or something else.
I sure hope Lionel comes up with a solution that gives us access to these products.

I got an email today from Paypal saying that my order had shipped, but I ordered the less popular DC Commander.
Still no email from Paypal, no refund, no communication what so ever but the communication part is understandable.
I just got a refund after several days. No other communication. I think Lionel was clueless and ill advised to announce as they did. We just have to suffer the few weeks or month with the mess that has been created and hope for a good remedy.

Seems to be a regular thing for Lionel these days.....poor decisions about many different things.
Same here
"Still no email from PayPal, no refund, no communication what so ever but the communication part is understandable." Nothing, that was as of this afternoon.
I can not agree with you more Chuck that Lionel is not with the program.
Let me know the if and when you got your stuff. I ordered the poplar items and a few of the odd balls. Knowing with my luck I will get all the odd ball and not the items I need.
I ordered a bunch of stuff a few days before they closed the site to orders. They took my PayPal payment but I have heard nothing. If Lionel hasn't figured out that this is driving good customers into the arms of MTH then they just really don't belong in management positions. We are the best kind of sales prospects to have--the kind who has already bought stuff from you. Management that hands over their best prospects to their strongest competitor needs to make new career choices--because this one isn't going so well. I love you Lionel. Please don't abuse my good will.

I ordered 14 items on April 21 using Paypal and received them yesterday, May 3.
I ordered a MiniCommander right after I got home from York and received it this week.

I placed an order for Cruise Commander M's April 21st , and received a refund noting they were out.
I placed an order for a Cruise Commander Kit on April 22nd, an my PayPyal account was charged. Nothing yet.
I emailed Ken with my condolences and regrets. He replied that, at 83, he was ready to go into retirement. I thanked him for his service to the hobby. What more could I have said?
Lionel has some good products but diesel locomotives are now entirely off my list until they meet the competition from MTH with scale wheels (etc) and/or replaceable wheel and axle sets that will permit me to dispense with rubber tires. My desire to upgrade pre-TMCC locomotives will go unrequited, save for those at the top of the list benefiting from my stockpile of ERR equipment.
Ken, if you're out there reading these postings, thanks for your contribution and Happy Retirement!
I think at 83 Ken is entitled to finally retire!
I took a long hard look at my to be upgraded projects, pulled the AC motorized items off the list, placed two more in the sell at a loss pile and ordered two dc commanders figuring no one really wants these. Paid with a CC, charge posted, no communication to date, no refund, no product. If the order is cancelled two more locos hit the sell pile. The plus side of this is moving will be easier.

Folks,
Please be patient. We have gotten 6 months of orders in a couple of weeks time! Between Paypal holding funds and preventing processing of orders due to the influx of dollars (GRRR) and the shear amount of orders to be kitted up and shipped; things are not going to get processed and sent to you quickly. We will fulfill all possible orders, and there will be some disappointments as stock is limited. As soon as we can - we will communicate with you as needed, ship, or refund.
Thanks in advance for your support and understanding.
Thanks for that Jon, I figured that poor Ken was as busy as a one-armed paper hanger!
Thanks Jon. My order arrived today - complete with a handwritten thank-you by Ken. You guys are still the best, even as you ride off into the horizon.
Dave
No impatience on my part, only a response as to status. If the product arrives, great. If not the world will continue to spin. Given what I have learned about the business model we should be happy ERR remained in operation this long. A one man show does have an expiration date. 83 years old is time enough to call it a career. Congrats to the man who kept it going for so long.
Still did not get a PayPal refund or package as of yesterday, I still have my figure crossed.
Recieved my order saturday that I put in the week after York
Just got an email from them. I ordered 3 weeks ago, they cant fill it. Will be sending a refund.
So, I'll now have 3 locomotives to sell. Unless a CC Lite can run a 2 motor williams diesel and K Line GG-1, I'm stuck.
Ken should certainly be congratulated for his efforts and dedication to keeping ERR going for so long since not only did he fulfill orders, but also gave technical assistance on the phone, kept inventory, and ordered his stock. He did it all as a one person business - no small feat.
I do though wonder though if ERR would have had even more customer orders during the time it existed if potential customers had been able to do phone orders and use Visa or Mastercard directly rather than being forced to go through Paypal or else order by check or money order via snail mail.

Patrick, & Others, mind telling us what you had ordered ? Might shed some light should others have orders in for the same items. I ordered 5 sound converters and 4 Mini Commander2's and have not received any communication from ERR since my order on 4/22 the charge does however show up on my credit card. J

I am running a Williams NW2 with a Cruise Lite. Its fine in normal running. Rarely do two motored Williams draw over two amps. The heavy GG1 may not be the best application for this though. You just have make sure its fused in case the engine stalls. I m just running a 3 amp fast blow fuse. GRJ can recommend a PTC.

Still nothing here, no email, no boards

I ordered 3 Cruise Commanders , and 3 Railsounds Commandser, on 4/23. Ken said he's all out of the Cruise Commanders and he has no more parts to build any Railsounds Commanders.

Thanks. I have a Williams RF-16 Sharknose with 2 can motors. I have a new CC Lite that I'll try. You're correct in saying to fuse it or use a PTC of some value. Only thing is It won't have any sound. I'll have to get used to the silence. 😉
Well, We can always swap if someone has spares. I have a few things. I may let go.. Need to determine the last things to upgrade.
