eTrain Command Console (L) - A Windows application that sends out TMCC and LEGACY commands.

eTrain Command Mobile - An Android application that sends out TMCC and LEGACY commands.

LIONEL:
"We're excited about the release of eTrain Command Console (L) from one of our newest LCS Partners. I've been playing with this software using a Windows PC connected to my Legacy base via an LCS SER2. It's very feature-rich and has an extensive list of LEGACY engine control options. I'm looking forward to spending some time with the program's Scenario recording capabilities as well.

I've added a couple of screen shots, brief feature description and some additional links to the LCS Partner section on the lionel.com/lcs website, which you can see by clicking the link below."

I am a long time user of eTrain Command Console Software and have recently upgraded to the Legacy verion.

I made a video of my Penn Central SD70ACE demostrating the new legacy operations.

I MADE A SECOND VIDEO TO SHOW NEW ETRAIN COMMAND CONSOLE LEGACY OPERATIONS WITH MY LEGACY STEAM ENGINES.

Drew,

Are you still having this problem?  I haven't heard from you in a long time.

Okay.  Glad you are enjoying it.

Great!  Make sure you read the System Requirements very carefully.  You will need either the Base-1L or the Legacy base.  In addition you will also need the LCS WiFi Module and required cables.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

You are correct.  This allows you to put your laptop wherever you want and move it anytime you want.  It also allows you to be able to use the new LCS commands for the LCS IR SensorTracks and future LCS commands that I may add without having to use a second serial connection.  In order to use WiFi you must have the Lionel LCS WiFi Module.

And never mind read the FAQs!

Yes.  You can put the software on as many PCs as you want as long as they are all yours.

I have started working on a new window for LCS BPC2s for the eTrain Command Console (L) app.  It will look and work similar to the IR SensorTrack window shown above.  You will have a tab for each BPC2 and be able to turn on/off each block.  If you are using the second serial or WiFi connection, you will automatically be able to see the current state (on/off) of each block.

Also, you will be able to program your BPC2 with a TR base ID as high at 120, instead of the Legacy limit of 90.  That will give you block IDs as high as 127.  This will be helpful if you have a lot of Trains (Lash-ups) and blocks.
Yes, the current version (2.0) does support BPC2s, but crudely.  You have to add them as Accessories and they show up in the "Active Accessory" dropdown.  You have to add one BPC2 for each block.  So if you use all 8 blocks in one BPC2, you have to add an Accessory for each one.  The new way I am working on will be much more user friendly.  You will be able to add a BPC2 and it will create all 8 blocks for you and display them in a easy to read window.  Let me know if you need help getting your BPC2 to work with eTCC (L).

Any thoughts?

I'm having the same problem.  I'll have to look into it and get back to you.

I figured it out.  You must program your BPC2 from your Cab remote as an Accessory.  Then it will work from eTCC (L).  In my next release eTCC (L) will program the BPC2 for you as a TR.

That seemed to do it.

Should I be getting sensor track data filling in the lower engine panel On the sensor track screen?  I can change the action and ID the track but I'm not getting any info.

Also I would definitely get this to work on a network. With DCS and all its best they be able to reside on a network IMO.

Glad you got it to work.

You will only get SensorTrack data to display if you are using WiFi or the second serial connection.  That is the only way Lionel will let it work.

Thanks.

I am assuming you are connected to the LCS WiFi module in Access Point mode and all other TMCC and Legacy functions are working.  Having said that, make sure your SensorTrack is programmed with the same ID as the selected tab on the IR SensorTrack window.  There is nothing else to it.

Are you sure the engine you are using has an IR transmitter?

I would try to put the Sensor Track somewhere between the WiFi module and the base.  I would put the WiFi module at the end if possible.

How many SensorTracks do you have?  If you only have one, add another to eTCC (L).  Goto the IR Sensor Track window.  Choose the Sensor Track you just added from the "Active IR Sensor Track" dropdown.  Choose an Action from the "Action" dropdown other than the one your Sensor Track is programmed with.  Then choose your Sensor Track from the "Active IR Sensor Track" dropdown.  Does the "Action" dropdown change to the Action your Sensor Track is programmed with?

Okay, but try the second part of my post.  I'm curious to know if that works.

I added the dummy sensor track and did as you described.  When I set the action on the dummy track and return to the active track the, the action is where it was previously set and is correct.  When I go back to the dummy track from the active track the action remains to what it was on the active track not what was previously set..
