I am a long time user of eTrain Command Console Software and have recently upgraded to the Legacy verion.

I made a video of my Penn Central SD70ACE demostrating the new legacy operations.

None the less... Harvy, when I use the quilling slider, at the same time the RR Speed is ramping up after 2 horns i get this

"etrain Comand Console has stopped working" and the program shutdown? see the doc att

I am continuing to work on my Legacy Windows app.  I am in the process of adding a whole new window for IR SensorTrack functionality.  I tried to paste in a screen shot of my work in progress, but it said I needed a URL.  I'll try to do that later.

 

 

Yes, I thank you for all you hard work trying to resolve the issue Harvy. I just learn to live with it and slowed down when performing the to functions between RR speed and blowing the horn. I enjoy using  eTrain Command Console when I do.....

Great!  Make sure you read the System Requirements very carefully.  You will need either the Base-1L or the Legacy base.  In addition you will also need the LCS WiFi Module and required cables.

What does the wifi support do?  Just eliminate the serial cable from the laptop?  Just want to make sure I am not missing something.

You are correct.  This allows you to put your laptop wherever you want and move it anytime you want.  It also allows you to be able to use the new LCS commands for the LCS IR SensorTracks and future LCS commands that I may add without having to use a second serial connection.  In order to use WiFi you must have the Lionel LCS WiFi Module.

Am I correct this application only works on Android phones & not Iphone?

You are correct.  My mobile app (eTrain Command Mobile) only works on Android.  I also have two Windows apps.

Can this be put on multiple PCs?  Reason I ask is I have a PC I use for the LUG demo and then one that will be for my home layout.  Or can it be transferred easily between PCs?

Yes.  You can put the software on as many PCs as you want as long as they are all yours.

Can the WiFi mode access the LCS WiFi module via a network or must it only access in Access Point mode on the WiFi module?

Does the current version support BPC2s. I can't seem to get it to work.  Wasn't sure from what you are saying a few posts up. 

Well my BPC2 is set up as address 21-23.  I can access them via Cab 2 and LCS but can't seem to get eTrain console to fire the BPC.  I've set up a switch successfully on an ASC2.  I also see the LEDs flash when I select the Acc21 and try to toggle On and Off but no action.

 

Any thoughts?

I figured it out.  You must program your BPC2 from your Cab remote as an Accessory.  Then it will work from eTCC (L).  In my next release eTCC (L) will program the BPC2 for you as a TR.

Here is a screen print of the new LCS BPC2 window.  You can see it better if you right click on the image and select "Open image in new tab".  This will be available in the next release.

Should I be getting sensor track data filling in the lower engine panel On the sensor track screen?  I can change the action and ID the track but I'm not getting any info. 

 

Also I would definitely get this to work on a network. With DCS and all its best they be able to reside on a network IMO.

You will only get SensorTrack data to display if you are using WiFi or the second serial connection.  That is the only way Lionel will let it work.

Well I am connected via WiFi. Is there something I need to do to have it display?

Yep. I can definitely change actions, trigger the LED for identification. Just don't get the info back. I'll keep playing. This is on my demo board for York. I don't have another engine available (all packed away). Using a PRR shark nose. 

Are you sure the engine you are using has an IR transmitter?

Yes. The sensor track is triggering the engine based on the set action. 

What is the order or your base and all LCS modules on your LCS bus?

Base>WiFi>STM>ASC2>Sensor Track>BPC2

 

The LUG demo board is very simple with 1 switch, a sensor track, and the blocks. Rewiring it this close to York is not some thing I want to do at this time. I'll see if I can use some spare cables to wire work it in the order you suggest. 

Okay, but try the second part of my post.  I'm curious to know if that works.

I added the dummy sensor track and did as you described.  When I set the action on the dummy track and return to the active track the, the action is where it was previously set and is correct.  When I go back to the dummy track from the active track the action remains to what it was on the active track not what was previously set..
