 Julius and Ethel Rosenberg, as many of you know, were American citizens  convicted of espionage back in The Cold War era, convicted in 1951 and executed in 1953.  The other day, the family released letters the couple wrote while in prison.  I thought this particular passage was interesting, and though maybe some of you would enjoy reading it as well .  Here's the excerpt:

 

"Julius Rosenberg worries that a particular Christmas present suggested for his young sons would be too frustrating, and even dangerous, without parental supervision, which under the circumstances was obviously lacking. “Believe me,” he writes his lawyer, “there’s time and to spare before their development absolutely requires electric trains.' "
